I’ve been doing what I now call Vibe Coding long before the name ever existed. With over 30 years in software development and a career alongside some of the most talented developers I’ve ever met, I’ve seen the evolution of software from punch cards to cloud-native microservices. But nothing—and I mean nothing—has shaken the foundation of development like the arrival of AI-assisted coding.

Learning to Vibe Code is the new “learn to code.”

Traditionally, learning a programming language could take years of dedication. Vibe coding with AI takes weeks, sometimes even days. Tech-savvy office workers are building custom tools and dashboards by themselves in a weekend. And the kicker? What used to take a team of five developers and a subscription-based software company can now be replicated by a single individual using AI and good prompts.
